EVgo, the California Energy Commission and Nissan have formally opened a new EVgo fast-charging hub at the County Fair Fashion Mall in Woodland, Calif.

The new station is one of five that EVgo is building on behalf of the CEC as part of the West Coast Electric Highway, providing a connection between California’s northern and southern corridors, and it also features two of the 200 high-powered DC fast chargers that will be installed jointly by EVgo in partnership with Nissan across the country.

In total, the location includes a total of five EVgo chargers, including two 50 kW fast chargers; two 100 kW fast chargers; and one Level 2 charger.

“EVgo’s electric vehicle fast charging hub will play an important role in ensuring that California completes the final spur of the West Coast Electric Highway,” says CEC Chair David Hochschild. “We’re proud to work with EVgo to make driving electric fast and convenient for all Californians.”

“EVgo has grown its fast charging network in California by more than 40 percent in 2019, ensuring that more than 80 percent of Californians live within a 15-minute drive of an EVgo station,” adds Jonathan Levy, vice president of strategic initiatives at EVgo. “This new EVgo station is the product of tremendous partnership with the California Energy Commission and Nissan to make the West Coast Electric Highway yet one more reason for drivers to take advantage of the benefits of electric vehicles.”

EVgo offers more than 300 fast-charging locations across California.

Really, who thought to put a Tesla Model 3 in a picture with a DC fast charging station with CCS and CHAdeMO connectors. If the owner had not purchased the CHAdeMO to Tesla adapter, this station would be useless.
