CNG cylinders international (CNGci), a manufacturer of Type 3 compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinders and fuel systems for transportation, has announced a name change to Winkelmann Flowform Technology – Fuel Systems (WFT-FS).
The name change reflects the company’s broader commitment to high-pressure gas storage applications relying on large-diameter, Type 3 cylinders beyond on-board CNG fuel storage applications, which had been the core business for CNGci.
In conjunction with the name change, the company has relocated to Thousand Oaks, Calif., where it will be coordinating sales and marketing efforts, targeting customers on the West Coast and in Mexico. Manufacturing will take place at the company’s headquarters in Auburn, Ala.
WFT-FS is part of the Winkelmann Group, a German company with global manufacturing facilities and a provider of flow-formed products for automotive, industrial, defense and aerospace applications.
WFT-FS notes it will continue to support customers through its existing sales and support channels to ensure a smooth transition.
