Battery and electric vehicle company BYD (Build Your Dreams) has announced the recent additions of Randy Premo and Karl Wheeler to its East Coast team.
Premo will serve as BYD’s regional sales manager for the Northeast, which includes Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. Wheeler, as BYD’s regional sales manager for the Mid-Atlantic, will cover Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
Prior to joining BYD, Premo served more than 25 years with the Capital District Transportation Authority in Albany, N.Y. Wheeler brings more than 17 years of transit agency bus experience with the Maryland Transit Administration.
“Both Randy and Karl bring a depth of agency and bus experience in a variety of hands-on roles from maintenance to managerial, giving them a unique understanding of our clients’ requirements and needs,” comments Bobby Hill, vice president of BYD North America for coach and bus. “They will work with our current and potential clients to help implement zero-emission bus programs from the exploratory and planning stages through implementation, maintenance and expansion.”
