Diesel 2 Gas Inc. (D2G), maker of the DualFlex+ natural gas/diesel dual-fuel system for Class 8 truck engines, says its platform now features electronically integrated cruise control on converted vehicles.
The technology enables a truck's OEM engine cruise control to operate normally in dual-fuel mode, with no additional controls, switches or mechanical actuators under the pedal, according to the company. Diesel 2 Gas says this is the first dual-fuel conversion system to electronically integrate the cruise control with no parallel hardware. The new cruise control is a standard feature on the DualFlex+ system.
The cruise control system was tested and first deployed on the Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine truck owned and operated by Bestway Express Inc. in Vincennes, Ind., the company notes.
