Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc. says it has inked a $1 million follow-on contract from a multinational corporation for advanced natural gas storage system development and vehicle integration.
The company notes that the contract's scope of work involves upgrades to a natural gas vehicle platform, including high-capacity fuel storage technology and engine controls. The fuel system packaging, vehicle integration and control system development will be performed at Quantum's facility in Lake Forest, Calif.
Quantum, which also focuses on hydrogen refueling technologies, offers its Q-Lite ultra-lightweight compressed natural gas storage tanks in 21- and 25-inch diameters.
