Fleet management trade group NAFA has announced that a special educational session addressing grant funding for alternative fuel vehicles will be held during the association's 2012 Institute & Expo later this month in St. Louis.
‘'Alternative Fuel Vehicle Grant Funding' provides an excellent forum for leaders of the industry to discuss ways to make your fleet clean and green and, more importantly, how to pay for it,’ says Phillip Russo, NAFA's executive director. ‘This is a session fleet professionals will not want to miss.’
The session, which is scheduled for April 24 at 8:45 a.m., will be moderated by Claude Masters, manager of vehicle acquisition and fuel for Florida Power & Light. Bill Van Amburg, senior vice president at CALSTART, and Dr. Jasna Tomic, fuels program manager at CALSTART, are on the panel.
Among the issues to be covered are where and how to seek grant funds to meet vehicle/equipment needs; what types of local, state and federal funding are available; and best practices for administering complicated grant paperwork.
