ECOtality Inc., an electric transportation and storage technologies company, has named Murray Jones its chief operating officer. Jones joins ECOtality from ABB, which ECOtality says is a strategic partner for integrating its Blink product line with the utility smart grid.
At ABB, Jones was responsible for the company's electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure initiative in North America. Prior to ABB, he spent 33 years with GE in its industrial and automotive businesses. Jones holds a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and a masters of business administration from Vanderbilt University.
