Walmart Stores Hosting ECOtality EV Charging Stations

Walmart says it is working with ECOtality to install Blink Pedestal electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at select stores in California, Oregon and Washington as a part of the federally funded, nationwide EV Project.

ECOtality says most of the sites will have two Blink Pedestal chargers available for EV use – with the exception of one site in Oregon, which will install a Blink DC Fast Charger.

The project, which is aimed at providing infrastructure to support the deployment of more than 8,000 EVs, will enable researchers to gather data about charging technology and consumers' charging habits. The EV Project is being conducted in six states and the District of Columbia.
