Romeo Power Launches Line of High-Performance EV Battery Systems

1

Romeo Power, a Santa Monica, Calif.-based electric vehicle (EV) battery systems start-up company, says it is now launching a line of high-performance battery packs that are optimized to outperform other battery systems on the EV market today.

Specifically, the company, which was launched this month by tech innovators Michael Patterson and Porter Harris, designs and manufactures EV, consumer and industrial battery systems that are optimized to store more energy and deliver more robust, reliable power and solar charging capabilities.

With this new line, the company intends to focus on customer needs in designing a powerful, compact product – and focus on application-specific packaging.

According to Romeo Power, its EV and consumer lines will launch in early 2017.

The company says it is currently working with local governments in Nevada and California to select a manufacturing facility for its EV battery packs.

Before launching Romeo Power, Michael Patterson founded InAuth, now the default mobile security solution for the major financials in the U.S. Before co-founding Romeo Power, battery engineer Porter Harris was chief battery architect for Faraday Future, where he designed battery strings for the company’s variable platform architecture.
