ChargePoint has announced its Express 100 DC fast charger station for electric vehicles (EVs). The company says the 24 kW product offers up to 100 RPH (miles of range per hour).
Furthermore, the company claims the Express 100 provides drivers a quick place to recharge and a compact DC fast charger for businesses, including retail locations, restaurants and convenience stores.
“With Express charging, drivers can run errands, shop or stop for a cup of coffee while they quickly top off their battery to extend their car's range,” says Pasquale Romano, ChargePoint's CEO. “ChargePoint Express is giving drivers range confidence so they can depend on an EV as their only vehicle.’
The company says Express chargers give EV drivers the ability to recharge in 20 to 30 minutes, and there are already 144 Express locations on the ChargePoint network.
Earlier this year, ChargePoint announced the Express 200, a 50 kW output DC fast charger with a maximum charging rate of 200 RPH. The company also unveiled ChargePoint Home for single-family homes and ChargePoint Multifamily Home Service for apartment and condo dwellers.
