Gaseous Fuel Systems (GFS Corp) says it will be converting nearly a quarter of Arch Coal's Komatsu 930E haul truck fleet to run on liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Using the EVO-MT 9300 conversion system, the 930E trucks – which operate in Campbell County, Wyo., at Arch Coal's Black Thunder Mine – will join two existing 830E trucks that have been operating on LNG since early this year.
‘As the pilot customer for our EVO-MT System for the Komatsu 830E, we are pleased that Arch Coal is expanding their evaluation program to include their 930E fleet,’ comments Jason Green, president and chief technology officer of GFS Corp.
The company expects to complete the conversion by the fourth quarter of the year.
