Propel Brings Its Renewable Diesel to Hayward, Calif.

After launching its Diesel HPR-branded renewable diesel in March, Propel Fuels continues expanding the availability of the fuel in California and is now offering it at a retail location in Hayward.

The Sacramento-based company says Diesel HPR, which stands for ‘high-performance renewable,’ consists of 98.5% of Neste Oil's NEXBTL renewable diesel, a low-carbon fuel that can be used in any diesel engine.

Propel's Hayward location, at the “880 Gas” station at 391 West A St., has eight Diesel HPR pumps for use by light-duty vehicles and high-flow pumps for heavy-duty trucks.

“We understand that customers are frustrated with the recent news about VW's diesel emissions. We wanted to remind them they can drive cleaner, with more efficiency and value, by fueling with our Diesel HPR at 32 locations across California, now including Hayward,” says Rob Elam, CEO of Propel.
