Plug In America, an organization in electric vehicle (EV) consumer advocacy working to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions and the U.S.’ dependence on petroleum, has announced the launch of its new website.

According to the company, the new website provides quick and intuitive access to extensive EV information for consumers, policymakers and the media. The website features an EV database and a state and federal incentive map for prospective buyers.

According to Joel Levin, executive director of Plug In America, “We envision this site as a one-stop-shop for all things connected to electric vehicles. People can find the newest vehicles and charging equipment, find incentives by state, get connected to the EV community, and learn about policy developments. Everything is written by EV drivers for EV drivers.”

Other website features include the following:

  • EV sales count;
  • Real-life stories from drivers who’ve transitioned to electric cars;
  • Portal to discover local EV clubs throughout the country; and
  • Detailed information on vehicle charging equipment.

As recently announced, Plug In America is co-representing National Drive Electric Week, a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in vehicles, from Sept. 10-18.
