Key Cooperative, a farmers' co-op based in Iowa that supplies propane fuel for residential heating, farming equipment and vehicles, has joined the Alliance AutoGas network of product and service providers.
Key Cooperative will coordinate bi-fuel and dedicated propane autogas vehicle conversions for fleet customers in Iowa, as well as supply propane fuel for these deployments. Fleets that choose to convert vehicles to autogas will be able to work with the Alliance on installing refueling infrastructure.
‘Joining Alliance AutoGas has enabled us to provide the community with the most viable fuel for powering fleets through a no-hassle program,’ says Lynn Sheets, petroleum department manager for Key Cooperative. ‘Running on autogas not only reduces fuel costs and emissions, it's also more affordable to install autogas stations and convert vehicles, compared to other alternative fuels.’
Key Cooperative is locally owned cooperative serving Story, Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Mahaska and surrounding Iowa counties. The group was founded in 1937.
