Isuzu Manufacturing Services America, the U.S. production arm of medium- and heavy-duty commercial vehicle and engine maker Isuzu, has joined the Diesel Technology Forum (DTF), a nonprofit that promotes the use of clean diesel technologies.

Isuzu's lineup of N-Series trucks is a mainstay in the low cab forward market, representing 80% of the U.S.' LCF truck segment. The company offers two diesel engines, as well as a gasoline engine that is compatible with compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas. N-Series trucks are clean-idle-certified in 50 states and meet EPA 2010 and CARB HD-OBD standards.

‘Isuzu has been developing diesel engines for nearly 80 years,’ says Jeffery A. Marsee, Isuzu's executive director of vehicle compliance, ‘We look forward to working with the forum on the exciting research and development that will be introduced in the coming years.’

Isuzu Motors was founded in 1916, making it the oldest Japanese vehicle manufacturer. The company has been doing business in the U.S. for three decades.
