Encana LNG Station Opens To The Public

Encana Natural Gas Inc. has opened to the public a liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueling station – the first in the state, the company says – located at The Relay Station in Frierson, La.

Since becoming operational last month, the station had been used exclusively by Heckmann Water Resources, an Encana partner in the natural gas industry that is in the process of deploying 200 new LNG-fueled big rigs. The site in Frierson is now open for public use and will be accepting all major credit cards.

Encana also owns and operates four mobile LNG fueling stations and six compressed natural gas (CNG) stations. Half of its own Louisiana-based fleet vehicles already operate on CNG, Encana says.
