Poof: State’s NGV, Propane Vehicle Rebates Are Gone

0

In mid July, the Arkansas Energy Office (AEO) announced an initial funding round totaling $150,000 to support the deployment of natural gas vehicles and propane autogas vehicles in the state.

If you were dilly-dallying with an application, don't bother rushing: All of the money is gone.

The office has announced that the first round of its Clean Fuel Vehicle Rebate Program is closed. Almost all of the funds were awarded within two weeks, with a couple of rebates still outstanding, awaiting the completion of documentation.

About four dozen rebates are scheduled to be awarded. The Arkansas Energy Office has not yet identified the awardees or the proportion of NGVs vs. propane vehicles.

The office has not said whether more funds will be made available, or when.
