EPA, NHTSA Representatives to Keynote HTUF 2014

Karl Simon, director of the EPA's Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ) transportation and climate division, and David Friedman, acting administrator of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, are on tap as keynote speakers at the HTUF 2014 National Meeting on Tues., Sept. 23.

Simon and Friedman will discuss a number of issues, including the Phase 2 heavy-duty vehicle greenhouse gas rule currently under development “between the EPA, NHTSA and California Air Resources Board, as well as EPA's work in the area of green freight and fuels.

The U.S. Department of Energy's Argonne National Laboratory in Argonne, Ill., will host the event, which focuses on high-efficiency truck and bus technologies and vehicles.
