amp Trillium LLC has opened a public-access compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station that will initially serve Frito-Lay North America's fleet of heavy-duty, Class 8 CNG tractor-trailers as its main customer.

The station is located at Davis Oil Co.'s commercial fueling station at 523 Perry Pkwy., 10 miles from Frito-Lay's plant in Kathleen, Ga., and in close proximity to the Thompson Rd. exit off Interstate 75. The station will be open 24/7 and offer two dual-hose dispensers, allowing two semi-trailers to fuel at the same time. The facility also features Trillium CNG's proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor.

Mary Boettcher, Trillium CNG president, notes that this is the third of five CNG stations that the company is building for Frito-Lay.

amp Trillium LLC is a joint venture between Trillium CNG and AmpCNG.
