New Clean Energy LNG Stations Will Support Raven’s Heavy-Duty Fleet

Florida-based carrier Raven Transport Inc. will leverage two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) stations from Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to support a deployment of 36 LNG-powered tractors.

Raven's new heavy-duty trucks, which feature the 11.9-liter ISX12 G natural gas engine from Cummins Westport, will be hauling goods on dedicated routes that run through Georgia to the upper Midwest. Clean Energy's stations will be located in Jacksonville, Fla., and Franklin, Ohio, connecting the southern and northern points of these routes.

Raven signed a multi-year LNG fueling agreement with Clean Energy. The companies anticipate that Raven's 36 trucks will consume approximately 1 million DGE of LNG annually.

‘Environmental stewardship and cost-effective logistics are central to the operating principles of our customers, which is why our investment in a heavy-duty natural gas fleet makes sense,’ says Stephen Silverman, Raven's chief operating officer.
