Circle K Stores Inc., one of the largest fuel and convenience store operators in North America, is working with VNG.co LLC to install compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling capacity at a new location in Houston.

The site will be located at 12300 Veterans Memorial Highway, which is on the northwest side of the city. In addition to 10 gasoline and diesel dispensers and a 4,400 square-foot c-store, the facility will offer a public-access VNG fast-fill CNG dispenser that will be open 24/7.

‘We are excited to offer CNG as another fuel option and to be partnering with VNG to offer Houston motorists a convenient, alternative choice for their transportation needs,’ says Alex Miller, vice president of fuels at Circle K.

VNG, which says it is building a network of retail CNG fueling points in the Houston metropolitan area, partners with fleets and existing fuel-station operators to site CNG where it is needed.

‘By offering drivers of light-duty CNG vehicles a familiar, convenient and reliable retail location to fuel, they can drive with the confidence that CNG will be readily available,’ says Robert Friedman, chief operating officer of VNG.
