CNG Fuel Inc., a Fort Wayne, Ind.-based company that focuses on the development of public-access compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations, has opened the newest facility in its network, in Greensburg, Ind.

This site joins existing CNG Fuel stations in Indianapolis; Lafayette, Ind.; and Dayton, Ohio. The company is also currently developing refueling facilities in Seymour and Fort Wayne in Indiana, and in Findlay, Ohio.

The new station is located at 2240 N. Michigan Ave. in Greensburg – which is less than a mile from Honda's manufacturing facility, where the Civic Natural Gas is assembled. The location offers easy access to Route 421 and I-74, and it was designed to accommodate incoming traffic from CNG-powered tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty natural gas vehicles.

Open 24 hours a day, the station features four fast-fill CNG fueling lanes (two dual-hose dispensers from CNG Source Inc.) that accept all major credit cards, including Wright Express, Fuelman, EFS and Comdata.

At the core of the facility are two 125 hp CNG Source compressors, a regenerating dryer and four 48′ CNG-storage spheres.
